South Asian Health Support Programme (SAHSP)

This is a health promotion programme established in 2007 targeting the South Asian ethnic minority community in Hong Kong, particularly for Indians, Nepalese , Pakistanis and other South Asians.

Objectives:

To improve family and child health through maternal education

To promote prevention of chronic diseases, particularly hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

To promote healthy lifestyle

To educate, about infectious disease -it preventative measures , injuries - first aid management and healthy habit among South Asian school children

To empower South Asian community with health knowledge and raise their self-esteem to take healthy actions

To train health advocate volunteers
